Join us on Wednesday, April 18, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm for the capstone presentation in our series, The Power of Personal Communication - In Your Life and On the Job. The series is co-sponsored by the American Association of University Women (AAUW).

The workshop, titled "Communication Under Pressure: The 411 on Q&A," will be delivered by Ed Barks, President of Barks Communications. The advice you'll gain will help you keep your cool and deliver your magnetic message in a variety of situations. The program begins with a 30-minute networking segment and lunch, followed by a 60-minute keynote featuring interactive exercises and discussion.

Workshop Summary: As professional communicators, we all interact with audiences of various sizes and stripes, so it's inevitable that there will come a time when you're in the hot seat, confronted with prickly questions. At those moments, wouldn't you like to have more control over the conversation? This interactive presentation will show you how to keep your cool under fire. Discover the value of building bridges, planting flags, offering sneak peeks, and deflecting hostile questions. Please come prepared to participate.

About the keynote speaker: Ed Barks leads communications training workshops for executives who want to enhance their reputations and for organizations that want to achieve their long-term business goals. He is the author of The Truth About Public Speaking: The Three Keys to Great Presentations and the guidebook Face the Press with Confidence: The Media Interview Companion.
